Hey there! Condensing all of our updates into one update this time as I'll be traveling internationally for a good chunk of November and be Christmas-ing this December.
Writing in the year 2026 is a lot different than it was back when I first joined Somnova Studios all those years ago. My writing style has changed. My preferences for how to give a voice to my favorite characters has changed. My outlook on what I want Missing Stars to represent to our audience has changed.
But what hasn't changed after all these years has been my love for this project. I was never expecting to lead Somnova Studios, but I hope that I've done a good enough job with all of my fellow developers both past and present as we've worked towards finishing Missing Stars.
Progress is hard to measure when a project has gone on as long as this one has. While I work on this in my spare time, there's part of me that feels guilty that I haven't worked on this more often, or that I haven't had the energy to work on this project at all. Sometimes it's both feelings at once.
But even so, I have moved forward. I have loved this story since the beginning, and I don't want to ever let it go. So I make whatever additions I can in the name of progress. And finally, my progress has reached a new point:
Jeanne Lefevre's Act 2 is now complete.
There'll be a round of edits before it goes live, of course, but the shape of the emotions I wanted to put into this portion of the route is finally done. In addition, the art assets are coming along nicely, like this one!

We'll put some stars here eventually... |
Also, I know I say that we'll have a new game update incoming, but this time I promise to get things out -- hopefully with Jeanne's new content -- sometime early next year, should everything line up appropriately.
(I've probably jinxed it... 😜)
Please look forward to more updates soon as we continue our work on Missing Stars. Thank you all for your patience and support on this wild, wacky journey.

(P.S. Today is Jeanne's birthday! Didn't intend for that to happen but it's a pleasant coincidence that I made this announcement on her special day.)
